My beliefs

I have just read a fantastic post by my friend & colleague Dax Moy (you can read it at www.personaltrainersuccess.blogspot.com)about his beliefs.
As always Dax shoots straight from the heart and his honesty and transparency are welcome in an industry, that mostly, lacks them.
This has inspired me to share with you some of my beliefs.....

1) I am not a kettlebell guy, a functional training guy, a bodyweight training guy, etc, etc. These are just tools and in the course of my work I use them all. The most important thing is I'm a get results type of guy.

2) Walk the talk. It staggers me how many coaches and personal trainers can't do or don't follow what they preach. You have to be a walking living example of what you teach. If not how can you reprimand your client when they don't.

3) Give that little bit extra. It says an awful lot about a person when he or she continually does that little bit more than what they're paid for. Getting and keeping clients is all about building relationships and trust and if you keep surprising people with an article you downloaded for them, or a website link you discovered could help a problem they told you about, or just sending them a birthday card you'll build a long fruitful relationship.

4) Dream big!!! It's our dreams and passions that drive us on and have no doubt led to all the great discoveries so far. Look at Thomas Edison. I believe he tried at least 1000 times to get the light bulb to work. If he didn't have a dream, ignited by passion that he could do it, he would have probably given up after 10 or 20.
When you set your goals reach for the stars. I'd rather shoot for the sun and fail by hitting Mars, than aim for the moon and succeed.

I think that's that for now. Be the person you want to be right now. Find your purpose and follow it with passion.

Paul
