No..... I'm not talking about saving the ozone layer (I'll save that for another post!)I'm talking about training atmosphere.
Here at the Complete Studio we strive to create the best atmosphere possible both in the gymnasium and the studio. Over the last few years I have moved away from traditional one to one training in favour of more group based training.
My reasoning is simple. There has been research carried out recently that joining a social group whilst dieting leads to greater losses in bodyfat levels than dieting on your own. In my own, real world lab, I definitely concur with those findings. If you have 3 or 4 people who want fat loss training and you put them in a group together, you can create an atmosphere that one to one training just can't compete with. The result? Clients who look forward to their sessions and coaches who look forward to the energy created and the results gained.
The same rings true with our studio based classes. Although it's difficult to create a rowdy hardcore atmosphere for pilates and yoga, we have found that keeping class sizes small, going the extra mile in getting in the best teachers, delivering quality lessons and encouraging the students to be part of the Complete Coaching family all help retain numbers when we renew courses.
I guess this all goes back to being passionate about what you do. I am. My wife is, and everyone who comes into the studio feels energised and passionate when they spend time with us.
Oh yes, and lets take better care of the ozone layer ok?
